Cooper Orla (she/her) grew up disliking having to go to piano lessons. She quit playing piano as a kid and didn’t pick up an instrument again until her late 20’s, when her boyfriend tried teaching her guitar. It worked! She loves playing music with her now husband, Kyle, for local square dances in the community. Cooper and Kyle joined forces to start The Northerly as an act of balance- one person with the magical vision, one with the logistical get-it-done attitude.

Cooper is the co-owner and manager of The Northerly. When she’s not working at The Northerly, she is hanging with her son Guthrie, enjoying swimming in the lake, riding her bike, or remodeling and designing her (and Kyle’s) house.
