The Northerly School for Music was born out of a desire to have a community space centered around learning music in Duluth…and a few things falling into place. Kyle was looking for a bigger space to grow into and a good friend urged him to check out this space downtown. The natural light, wood floors, and tall ceilings drew us in! Cooper had just left her Doula business and was looking for someone to boss around ;)

We aim to be the place that people come to for music lessons, instrument repair, and for buying a new or used instrument or things like strings and tuners. But more than that, we want our space to feel welcoming, safe, cozy, and like a really great place to hang out.
